Usolye Siberian Silicon

Joint-stock company 'Usolye-Siberian Silicon' is a manufacturer of organosilicon products residing in town Usolye-Sibirskoe. From 1963 to 1993 the company was the structural division of industrial association of Usolye 'Khimprom' and in 1993 it has separated out into an independent joint-stock company 'Sibirskiy Silicon'. The building of factory for production of organosilicon chemical products has been started since 1961 and in 1963 a first production was established: production of methyl chloride, a starting raw material for the synthesis of organosilicon monomers, which are further transformed to organosilicon polymers. In 1969 block 94 was built and the production of methylchlorosilanes (MCS) based on methyl chloride was established.
